The curlier the coat is of a goldendoodle the harder it is to take
care of them. You will need to brush it at least every 2 days to
prevent them from matting up. Take your doodle to the
groomers every 4-5 months. Make sure you tell the groomer
how you want your doodle trimmed. Groomers think that all
doodles needs a poodle cut or they totally shave them. Take in
a picture to show them how they should be groomed.
About 6 months of age take your doodle to the groomers and
just to get a bath. Clean the ears and trim their nails,also. Too
much will scare them the first time. They will need the full
grooming about 9 months old. Grooming visits should only be
every 3-4 months. You don't want to take all the oils from the
skin and fur, this will irritate their skin (dry out).
