Hi Sue,
Autumn is going great and Dee Dee loves her. It is hard to believe we have only had
her for a week. She is so much a part of our family and so easy to love. She is very
smart and has very few accidents only when we have forgotten to take her out.
What an amazing puppy. Thanks so much, we will keep in touch.

Hi Sue,

I just wanted to let you know how well Ella is adjusting to her new home.  My boys just adore her
and are anxiously awaiting the time when she can sleep in their rooms.  They will have to wait
until she is completely potty trained for her to sleep with them.  So far, she is doing a pretty good
job.  She sleeps in her crate at night without any whining and keeps it dry.  I take her out several
times a day to do her business and take walks.  She has a few accidents here and there.  She is a
work in progress.

The boys love to run and play outside with her.  She sees them off in the morning and waits
patiently for the school bus to return home.  She gets so excited when she sees them.  She has a
few puppy friends in the neighborhood that she looks forward to seeing as well.  She really is
adorable and has such a sweet temperament.  The cats, Jacques and Percy are still trying to
figure out what's going on.  They have not been around any dogs so they are a bit apprehensive
to say the least.  It will take time, but they will come around.

The whole family really loves Ella.  She is such a special addition to our family.  It is truly amazing
how much love a puppy can generate.  My husband as well as my mom have fallen in love with
her too.  We all look forward to creating many wonderful lasting memories with Ella.  Thank you
so much for being so kind and compassionate.  It is very obvious that you care a great deal for
the puppies and truly want to place them in loving homes.

I have included a few pictures of Ella and her family.  I will send more are she grows.

Thank you,
The Rickert Family:  JR, Carol, Timmy, Billy, Percy, Jacques and Ella
PS
I sent several pictures of each of us holding her the first day that she was home.......Timmy has the
white and green shirt on with jeans and the other pic is a very proud Billy.  Timmy is 9 and Billy
turns 7 in December.  Also, there is a pic of Jacques and Percy.  Percy is the white cat.  Timmy
likes to ride his scooter slowly while taking her for a walk.  Billy loves to take her for a walk but
has to stop several times to give her a hug.  As you can see we all love Ella.

Hi Sue,

I just wanted to give you an update on Ella.  She is doing very well.  She is a very
happy and loving puppy.......always ready to play or go outside.  We are still
working on the potty training.  She always stays dry in her crate overnight.....and
doesn't whine.  I try to put her out at least every 2 hours during the day and
evening and take her for walks too.  She has very few accidents in the
house.....generally when she is really excited.  So, now I put her out right after
she plays with the kids....that seems to work.

She is trying really hard to play with the cats.  They are not happy about that.
Percy stays upstairs unless he thinks that she is in her crate.  Jacques comes
around a lot in hopes of not being chased to the stairs.  I think that they will play
together once Ella stops trying to nip at him.   Ella is just so eager to play with
him.

She does have a favorite puppy friend who lives next door.  She  plays with him
almost every day and looks for him when we are outside....it's very cute!!

We are working on commands like "come, stay and sit."  She is a quick learner.  I
have a play-yard set up in my kitchen that she goes into when I can't keep an eye
on her.  She is a very sweet puppy....we all love her very much.

I hope that all is well with you and your newest additions.

Hi Sue,
I wanted to send you some recent pics of Ella.  These were taken in Dec. '09.  She
has grown quite a bit.  She now weighs around 17 lbs. There is one pic of her with
another dog.....it's her cousin.....a schnoodle named Colby.  My sister and her family
came for a visit for Christmas and they brought their new puppy.  The puppies got
along so well.  Ella missed her when they left.

I have to tell you what an awesome dog Ella is.  She is potty trained, crate trained,
never barks in  the house.....only outside and really doesn't do that very much.  She
is sweet natured and LOVES everyone.  She still has several playdates during the
week with her pal Frodo.

Ella tends to follow me around since I am with her the most (and feed her too).  She
is always at my feet.....I love her so much!!  She plays with her toys and really likes
the bull sticks.  She is not fond of stairs.....refuses to do them, except the stairs
from the deck leading to the yard.  I am having her practice going up and down the
stairs in the house.  She has always been afraid of stairs....but we're working on it.
Also, she is very playful with the cats.  The cats try to be around her but end up
getting scared when she pounces on them.  We are working on that too.  She loves
the outdoors, especially walks in the neighborhood.  She LOVES the snow.
Unfortunately it's been really cold up here....absolutely frigid today.....so no walks
when it's in the teens.  Even Ella didn't want to stay out too long.
I will be making an appointment in the next couple of weeks for her to be spayed.
She is almost 5 1/2 months and I think that she is ready.  The vet told me that she
will be there all day, but not overnight.  I am going to try to do it before my boys
have their winter recess in February.
Anyway, I hope that everything is going well for you and your puppies.  I just
wanted to give you an update as well as some current pictures.  She is a lovely dog.
Thank you again for such a wonderful addition  to our family.

Hi Sue,
I just wanted to let you know that that I will be mailing the spay
certificate.....sorry it is so late.  She had the operation on Feb. 11, 2010.  She
did very well with everything.  She is such an awesome dog.  She is lying here
at my feet.....she follows me everywhere.  She is such a smart dog, I swear she
understands me.  Last time that I weighed her she was 20 lbs.  She likes her
treats.....especially the bully sticks.  They smell bad, but she loves them.

We went to Walt Disney World in the beginning of April.  My son's teacher
asked me if she could take care of Ella while were were there.  I was so happy
that we did not have to put her in a kennel.  She spent the week with 3 little
girls and absolutely loved all of the attention.  I attached a pic that they took
of her......she is adorable!!  Honestly, I get so many compliments on what a
good dog she is.  She still plays with the neighbors dog almost everyday and
loves that.
I hope that you are doing well and have lots of healthy new puppies to take
care of and deliver to happy families.
Take Care,
Carol Rickert
